When the course description is pulled I noticed two things on the front page: (1) an added spacer between the blue site name with pulled tagline top and the green menu bar and (2) the deletion of the header to the site description block. I've attached a screenshot of the problems. The other pages are fine.

I've changed the site description a couple of times through the Admin > Front page > Front page settings > description field, each time minimizing the description, to no avail. The missing header to the site description block is also missing when I select another theme.

I know I can manually enter a tagline through the editing notes but thought I'd bring these problems to your attention.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

I will have to test this from home to be sure, but my initial guess is this is being caused by your use of Moodle's internal HTML editor. Try this:

1.) While viewing the Site Description in the description field from Admin > Front page > Front page settings, press the "<>" button in the HTML editor to reveal and edit the source code.

    2.) Delete everything.

3.) Type your Site Description in plain text and save.

Also, the site description block does not include a header. This is a feature, not a bug; Moodle has hard coded this in and there is nothing that I can do to style what is not there.

    Hope this helps.
