Moodle 2 Custom Theme Package Pricing
The cost of a custom theme from NewSchool Learning has always been determined by a conservative estimate of the time it would take to complete the work from start to finish.
Over the past three years, we’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing companies, organizations, and individuals. Here’s just a sample of what we’ve done for them.
The folks at CIVT wanted a theme that basically matched their existing website with a few revisions to make their Moodle installation stand out from their regular website.
After a couple of weeks of back and forth on the additional creative work, we created this clean rounded-corner theme that fades into a borderless white background.

For this theme, we were asked to create a Moodle theme that matched the “Recharge Colorado” website.
For the theme’s sideblocks and forum styles, we took cues from tables and callouts from their site design. At their request, we even through in a dropdown menu that matched their content site menu.
This is a good example of a Moodle theme that’s not so “moodl-ish” - it would look great with only one sideblock column, too.

Here’s a great example of how we can take one of our existing themes, change the colors and add a logo and custom banner to create a new and unique looking Moodle theme.
This theme includes all of the amenities that come with our Premium theme called Accentuate: YUI dropdown menu, automatic “My Courses” menu that loads the current user’s enrolled courses, and our years of experience coding and testing Moodle themes.

We created this Moodle theme to match the OpenText site for their “Fax University.”
This theme includes the YUI dropdown menu included in the Moodle core, as well as a dynamic “My Courses” menu that dynamically shows the current user’s enrolled courses. It also makes use of the Moodle Custom Corners engine to create all the soft rounded edges.

For this project, the Facilities Society asked us to create a Moodle theme that matched their existing website.
They were interested in keeping the same look and feel on the front page, banner and all, with a more streamlined course page that got right to the content.
In the end, we had a tricky time creating the “left tab” look on the headings with Moodle, but as you can see it was worth the effort.

For this project, we matched Moodle to the International Bridges of Justice existing site.
We included two menus in their theme - one above the header image and one below. The one below uses dropdowns to match their content site.
This theme can be viewed live on their site.

For this project, Innovative Communications Group was looking for a theme that fit in well with their existing website. To save them time and money, we decided it would be best to just match their blog, which has a similar layout to Moodle.
This is a fluid-width theme. The blue bar below the header takes on the breadcrumb inside the site.

The Peace Corps asked us to create a Moodle theme that matched elements of their existing site.
They also requested that we create a unique front page menu that switches an image when the user rolls over the menu items. You can view a working copy of that menu here.
The actual menu was included as a separate file that they were able to paste into the content section of their Moodle installation.

The folks at LA’s Best asked us to create a Moodle theme that took cues from their existing site, but didn’t match it exactly.
They provided us with a wireframe, color guidelines, and branding materials. We did the rest.
This theme includes the stable multi-level YUI dropdown menu found in the Moodle core. We’ve added the date to the menu bar as well as a custom footer with copyright notice and links.

For this theme, we started with Anomaly, swapped some colors, added a logo and some gradients for a sense of depth.
Not a bad way to get a custom, branded theme at an economical price.
